In the beginning God, not only created a beautiful habitat for Adam, Eve, and mankind; he established a relationship with them because he wanted a family. For he met with them in the cool of the day in the place he created and had provided everything that they would ever need.

Genesis 2:15-17 (KJV) says:

And the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The garden he created for them (they didn’t have to plant one tree) was their provision and he gave Adam specific instructions to not eat from the tree of good and evil. God gave Adam the task of naming the animals and said that it was not good for him to be alone so he created Eve.

But they listen to the enemy and did what they were told not to do and unbelief and disobedience were the results. That sin interrupted the plan for a family without blemish and they were banished the garden.  Man was to toil (work) to provide, women had to bear children with pain and shed monthly, and the enemy had to crawl on his belly and it was pronounced that a woman heel will destroy him. Inside Adam and Eve were the seeds to extend his family and told them to multiply.

God’s plan was interrupted but it was not over; through generations after generations (42 of them) we see the results of sin (s) played out. BUT God in the fullness of time sent mankind a solution to the problem they created through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. He came through the womb of a woman and the enemy plotted once again but this time it was to destroy God’s plan to reconcile mankind back to him through him; BUT it did not work.

Jesus Christ walked on this earth approximately 33 years with no fanfare or reputation and completed his assignment and removed the veil of access and communication with GOD. Glory to God! Now every person on this planet has the opportunity of becoming a member of GOD’s family by receiving his son, Jesus Christ. He is the one and only door into the kingdom of GOD but the enemy has deceived and presented the world with multiple doors and ways to get back to God. Therefore, we have a land full of unbelief and disobedience.

However, when Jesus died on that cross and said it was finished, IT WAS. Believing and receiving Jesus in one’s heart opens the door to redemption, salvation, freedom and we become a family member. God’s plan has been executed and we are responsible for carrying it through until Christ Jesus returns to get us to take us home.  God has reconciled us back to himself and we have become ambassadors for Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (KJV) reads as follows:

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

To be honest, most of us have some kind of plan for our lives and others do not have a plan at all and there is consequence for both. Our parents throughout our childhood plant seeds of what they what us to become and as we get older, we started adding or eliminating what appeals to us. During our life cycle we walk toward our plans (career, relationship, and possessions) and we may have obtained a few things along the way.

But here is the TRUTH THE MATTER. If our plans don’t line up with GOD’s plan for us, while we may obtain some of the nouns (possessions) or never achieve what we would have liked; there is still an emptiness or satisfaction still present within us. We did not know through either a lack of knowledge, or we ignored the prompting to go this way or the opposite way. All we know is the efforts we made did not produced what we were seeking at the time. This may have happened for many reasons but the Word of God pinpoints a few. Let’s go to:

1 John 2 King James Version (KJV)

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

This whole chapter is loaded and should be read repeatedly while you take notes to gain understanding about what is and has been going on, but at this moment I want to pinpoint verses 15-17.

The enemy’s strategies and tactics are to steal, kill, and destroy are the same and that is to distract or pervert the truth, so that are focus is the lust of the flesh, eyes, and the pride of life. So, we make plans to achieve or obtain nouns. He presents them in an appealing way so that we accept and precede on to obtain what we believe what is going to make us happy because we lack the knowledge and understanding that we (mankind) are being deceived.

He did this with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and they bought the lie therefore disobeyed and he tried to use the same tactics on Jesus in the wilderness BUT it did not work because he fought back with the Word of God in every instance. We must follow Jesus’ example and do the same so that can understand what God’s plan for our lives are and how to execute them.

Life itself gives us all challenges and we all have tests and trials and we must go THROUGH them. However, understanding that God has good thoughts about us and good plans for us is the key for our happiness and success in this world.
