God is LOVE and he expresses it in so many wonderful ways. He, the original lover has given us the perfect example to imitate in how to express love. He gave us (the world) his only begotten son.
So, LOVE gives and when we continue with the scripture of John 3:16, instruction is given and its main objective; “whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life”.
So, anyone on this earth that believes and receives Jesus (his begotten son), anyone that believes that he died and rose again shall have everlasting life. Repenting from your sins, asking him into our hearts, being baptized in Jesus Name and believing he has done so is just the beginning.
Everyone needs Love and it’s that Love (Agape-the unconditional kind) that can one receive what was specifically made to fulfill and complete a human being. It is higher than the natural kind that we express to our significant others through words, behaviors and deeds.
In 1 Corinthians, chapter 13 (AMP version,) we find that we can have all the gifts but have not love for others growing out of God’s love and do all kinds of deeds but do not have love, it does one no good at all. Love is kind, patient, and not self-seeking for it bears all (sounds like the fruit of the Spirit). Hmm, maybe that kind of Love requires the help of the Holy Spirit to remind us of whose we are and represent as a child of God.
On the upcoming Valentine’s Day may we all express God’s love in words, behavior and deeds that will express HIS love and draw others to him as well as a closer relationship with us because of it. Allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and advise us along the way to minister Love in the way that is required for each individual and situation we come across in our daily lives. Amen. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
